This is a mechanical device that facilitates the routing of PROFIBUS-PA, PROFIBUS-DP, FOUNDATION fieldbus, AS-i, DeviceNet, Modbus and Conventional cables to guarantee the correct bending of the cable, respecting the minimum bending. Whenever this bending is violated there is a change in the cable impedance, causing signal reflection. This device was designed for cabinet and field mounting.
See in the figure that when the minimum bend radius is violated, an impedance changing point occurs (called splice) and with this, the signal degrades, generating intermittences in the digital signal. The CRG300 maintains the minimum bending and avoids the cable deformation.
